What is NearSpace?
NearSpace is a proximity-first social networking app for Nigerian creators. It combines a nearby creator map, local feed, direct messages, groups, stories, bounties, bookmarks, and Pro analytics.
Who is NearSpace for?
NearSpace is for developers, designers, startup founders, makers, creative professionals, students, and operators who want to discover and collaborate with people physically near them.
How far can I search on NearSpace?
Free users can search and discover stories up to 200km. Pro users can search and discover stories up to 1,000km.
Does NearSpace have a feed?
Yes. The Feed supports shoutouts, build/project posts, bounties, stories, team posts, polls, comments, replies, likes, shares, and bookmarks.
How do Boost Credits work?
Active Pro users get 1 Boost Credit per week with a maximum balance of 1. A boost gives one eligible post priority placement for 24 hours, after which it returns to normal ranking.
Can users create private groups?
Free users can create 1 public group. Pro users can create up to 3 groups and can make groups private/invite-only.
Can I hide my location or online presence?
Yes. Ghost Mode hides a user from nearby discovery and presence surfaces. Users can also choose approximate location behavior from privacy settings.
What can Pro users see in post analytics?
Pro users can see post views, likes, comments, shares, bookmarks, engagement rate, top performing post, recent post viewers, and recent bookmarkers.
Is NearSpace available outside Nigeria?
NearSpace is currently focused on Nigeria and uses a location/country gate to keep the community Nigeria-first.
